October 14-16, 2005
20th Annual Salt Festival

The 20th Annual Salt Festival was held on Ocober 14-16 at Big Bone Lick State Park. The Salt Festival theme this year was The Mary Ingles Story and with near perfect weather was extremely well attended on all three days

The Friends of Big Bone had a booth at the event and showcased our Education Kits for elementary school teachers. In addition we promoted support for the interpretive museum and other projects that the FOBB are working on. Sales from our library of books that are specific to the history of the area and our own T-shirts and canvas bags were even better than anticipated!

Highlighting our booth was the appearance of "Salt of The Earth", who took time out of their busy schedule to play Mary's Hope for visitors to our booth.

Thanks to all the FOBB volunteers who helped throughout the weekend this was the best Salt Festival the Friends haveever had.
