Extinction and climate change were unknown by the time our country was founded. The increased discovery of fossilized remains in the 1700s, especially those of elephant-like animals, now known as the American Mastodon, led to the understanding of both concepts.  Join Dave Hauber as he explores how/why the remains from the mastodon came from Big Bone Lick and played a significant role in the discussion and understanding of extinction and climate change.
