The Northern Kentucky Preservation Coalition and Friends of Big Bone will be hosting Archaeology Day 2017 at Big Bone Lick State Park!

Join us at the Park’s Visitor Center from 10am-2pm to learn more about Big Bone’s pre-historic and historic past. We will be having two tour sessions presented by Thad Bissett, Northern Kentucky University Anthropology Professor.

Tours will be at the excavation site where Prof. Bissett conducted his Archaeological Field School. Participants will learn how an archaeological excavation is conducted and a little bit about the recent findings at the site. Tour sessions will be held at 10:30am and again at 12:30pm.

This event is free and open to the public. You must be able to walk and stand for short durations. All ages welcome.
