In July, Friends of Big Bone participated in a Boone County “Cash for Trash” program in which we cleaned up trash on Beaver Road between Highway 42 and Big Bone Lick State Park. We collected almost 50 bags of trash along the 2.85 mile road that leads to the state park. We had 10 members helping us that day and spent almost 4 hours filling trash bags, but visitors to the park now have a very clean highway to make their way to the park! Many thanks to all those that participated in the clean up project.
